We know choosing the right experience for your teenager is an important decision. Here are answers to some of the questions parents most often ask before camp begins.
How is this different from other youth programmes?
Future Builders goes beyond motivation and inspiration. We equip young people with practical life capabilities that schools often have little time to teach.
Participants begin developing the practical skills that help people thrive beyond the classroom—understanding themselves, solving meaningful problems, communicating ideas that create value, working effectively with others, making wise decisions, and adapting to change.
Our goal isn't simply to create a memorable camp. It's to help every Future Builder build a stronger foundation for adult life.
What does "Activate Your Superpowers" actually mean?
Every teenager already possesses unique strengths, interests and abilities. We call these their superpowers.
Throughout the camp they begin the journey of discovering how to turn those strengths into real-world value through a practical framework:
Talent → Skill → Solve → Sell → Prosper
Rather than asking, "What job do I want one day?" we encourage young people to ask, "What value can I create for others?"
My teenager is shy and won't know anyone. Will they fit in?
Absolutely.
Many participants arrive without knowing anyone else and naturally feel nervous beforehand.
The programme has been intentionally designed to help teenagers connect quickly through shared experiences, teamwork and meaningful conversations.
Every Future Builder is encouraged to participate at their own pace within a welcoming and supportive environment.
What practical capabilities will my teenager begin developing?
Participants begin exploring practical capabilities including:
- Financial intelligence and how money really works.
- Identity, strengths and future direction.
- Communication—the ability to unlock the value they create by expressing ideas clearly and influencing positively.
- Decision-making and self-leadership.
- Value creation through solving meaningful problems.
- Collaboration and leadership through working with others.
These capabilities complement academic education by preparing young people for the realities of adult life.
Is this a once-off camp?
No.
Future Builders is designed as the beginning of a much bigger journey.
As young people move through different stages of life, we aim to continue supporting them through future learning experiences around personal finance, career direction, leadership, communication, purpose and other practical life skills.
Our hope is that every Future Builder continues growing long after camp has finished.
